‘I have learnt all sorts of skills, from practical skills in the gardens or parklands, to organising events and understanding how everything affects our visitors in different ways. I have recently been offered a new job.’

Managing Historic Parklands and Landscapes Heritage Skills Passport
The National Trust is the largest historic parkland owner in the world, and yet there are no courses in this area, notably in historic parkland management.
Therefore, the latest addition to the Passport portfolio was the Managing Historic Parklands and Landscapes Heritage Skills Passport.
This was written by Lisa Topham, Parks and Gardens Manager at Charlecote Park in Warwickshire. David Bullock, Head of Nature Conservation decided on the units that should be included, as Lisa Topham added learning outcomes and assessment.
Feedback from trainees and the Heritage Lottery Fund suggested more depth and historic context was require which was added.
