Personal Development Skills
At the beginning of the traineeship, the trainees carried out a self-assessment about their personal skills.
The trainees scored themselves on a 1 to 5 scale with 1 where they felt they had no confidence or experience, and 5 represented a high level of confidence or experience in a specific area.

Where trainees had scored themselves with less than three, we put in a structured training plan allowing the trainees to develop in this specific area.
The trainees worked with their line manager and the buddy to put together a month-by-month plan for a year.
The programme manager would step if there were further issues, when a number of strategies were introduced.
Technical Skill development
